Frequent questions

NursED portfolios are digital workbooks for documenting and managing healthcare training internships. Students can document their work and have their supervisors approve their work directly on their own mobile devices.

NursED portfolios have been designed on Workseed infrastructure, but can be used independently of the Workseed LMS. Students do not need a Workseed account, and the UAS does not need to have a contract with Workseed Ltd. to use the portflios.

Students send invitation links to their teachers.

NursED is a separate service that requires a separate account. It is possible to connect NursED and Workseed accounts. See the instructions for more information.

NursED portfolios can be used as a stand-alone solution. It is not necessary for the UAS to acquire a license or use Workseed for individual teachers to sign in.

The midwifery student logbook is a tool for reporting and guiding on-the-job learning. The book was developed in collaboration between Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and Workseed.

The skills passport for nursing students is a digital portfolio. It is based on core professional competencies and EU directives and is not tied to any particular academic institution’s curriculum.

The purpose of the passport is to serve as a uniform quality system that:

  • Enables students to demonstrate their professional competence.
  • Helps develop guidance and communication with students.
  • Ensures the skills of graduating nurses, which promotes patient safety.

The passport covers all key nursing tasks, such as systematic patient assessment (ABCDE), clinical procedures, basic care, professional activities, and patient guidance.

NOTE: Areas related to medication are not included in the workbook. There is a separate medication workbook for these areas.

The skills passport is free of charge for educational institutions and teachers. Students order and pay for the workbook. The license is valid for four years.

The skills passport is easy to use, regardless of whether the educational institution uses the Workseed learning environment or not.
